Our Wedding

Fun Facts
- We've known each other since 1999. There is one longer
running couple that we know of, Edmond and Laura who are getting
married this year too!
- We were engaged on April 10th 2004. Chuck and Camilla
worship us so much they had their wedding one year later.
- When we first me, she thought I was a motorcycle punk. I
thought she was a
grad student.
- The first thing that caught my attention was her oddly-styled
shiny Kicker's shoes that looked like kid's shoes.
- Our first date was to see a Canucks game. Thanks to
unreasonably expensive tickets, we went for sushi instead.
- I knew she was the right one because she ate more than
California rolls, salmon,
and cooked dishes. She also didn't make a wasabi slurry with soy
sauce like most people.
- On some alien planet, the chefs of the original Sushiboy, Magic
Oven/Naked Chicken, Crepe Bretagne and Formosa Restaurant have gathered.
- I had pager before my cellphone. I used my ESP to know when
she was calling if I misplaced the pager.
- She used to work at a fish feed company and I worked at a
tortilla factory. After work we smelled like fish and corn.
- Our favourite pastimes are eating, looking at food, talking
about food, making food, and shopping but usually not buying.
- We once walked from Port Moody to Vancouver. Along the way
we found a place with the best cheesecake.
- Vivian's music favourites are Twins and Hacken Lee. My
favourites are Everclear, Guns & Roses, Bee Gees, and Twins.
- Vivian's favourite TV show is Amazing Race and some goofy HK
celebrity gameshows. My favourites are Wings Over Canada, Rick Steeve's
travel shows and Amazing Race.
- Temperature-wise Vivian is a human freezer. I'm considered
a human furnace.
- We once rescued a lost, abandoned bunny by using a biscuit to
lure
it and a laundry basket as a cage.
- I like my kitchen counters and washroom clean and
scent-free. I use a dilute bleach solution to wipe the surfaces.
- We wander around the city walking quite a bit. If you are
living in
Greater Vancouver and don't hide at home, you would have
bumped into us at least once in the last two years. If you
haven't seen us, we still probably saw you. If not, quit hiding!
- Vivian likes her shoe and clothing shopping. I probably
know more girls' shoe and clothing styles than many girls but I still
don't understand why some really ugly fashions sell. (Clarification -
I'm not making a comment about Vivian's fashions. It's a comment
about some dreadful designs.)
- Vivian has never heard or watched Battlestar Galactica or Gomer
Pyle.
- You can save a lot of frustration and make Ikea furniture fun by
buying a real set of metric hex wrenches and a clump of bee's wax (wax
works but it's not as funny). Rub bee's wax on all threaded
screws and bolts. You'll be amazed.
- There's a splat of chocolate on my suit from my brother's
wedding chocolate fountain. If I can get away with it, I'm going
to wear the chocolate to the wedding. SShhh! Maybe someone
won't see this.
- Sometimes we go car shopping pretending we're buying a car.
Sometimes we go house shopping pretending we're buying a house.
- If we were reincarnated, in our past life, we were probably
Mexican- Korean-Thai-Italian-Japanese-French-Vietnamese-East
Indian-Greek-Persian-Chinese slaves who were not allowed to eat much,
bitten and chased by dogs, and saved by a pack of friendly bunnies and
cats.
- One of the most interesting things we've eaten is live, fresh uni
(sea urchin).
