Our
Wedding
FAQ (
frequently
asked
questions.)
- Who is part of the wedding party?
Anyone who is going down to Las Vegas and asks. Ella is the best
lady and Edmond is the best man. There's more but I can't
remember. There are 20 people
attending the wedding.
- How do we contact you guys?
Email: phleung@gmail.com or vvcheung@gmail.com
- What is the theme colour?
It's a pastel-ish green.
- When? Our wedding is on
May 10th of this year. The invitations have been sent.
Replies are overdue.
- Where? The official
ceremony is at Bellagio in Las
Vegas. The chapel seats 130. Our honeymoon is the wedding.
- How much money do you guys make?
That's a bit private. We make a combined income that is under the
Canadian average. We're rich anyway because we love foood.
- Why? Because someone
would oppose us eloping.
- Will you be changing your last
name? Not Vivian. We're still considering changing
mine.
- Why isn't someone invited?
Because we either forgot about
them or they are evil (or we can't afford)
- Ok, so and so is evil. How
come they're invited?
That's bad grammar again.
- Eats? The fine banquet
will be at Circo
at Bellagio . There will be two deserts. Make no
mistake. Eating is the main activity
of the day.
- If I can't make it to Las Vegas?
There will be a plain ol' boring
chinese dinner in Vancouver at Kirin Richmond
on May 20 (This is not the wedding banquet. That's the one in Las
Vegas.)
- Are you flying down?
We were originally planning to drive down. Update! We bought a
really good travel
package. For less than $1000/person. We are flying,
staying at a hotel, flying to LA, and taking a 3 day cruise back up.
- What should I wear?
Whatever you want but you'll be the one embarassed if you show up in
something nasty. I'll be wearing merino wool socks
with sheep on them.
- Will you guys be changing
outfits? Yes, a minimum of 3 hopefully at Las Vegas and
Vancouver.
- Will there be any fun activities
at Las Vegas other than the
ceremony? Yes, we have arranged an event called a banquet. You
will eat there and we'll likely thank you for being there and hope you
are enjoying the food. The focus is on eating so there won't be
much else.
- What activities will there be at
the post-wedding dinner in Vancouver? Eating, a
slideshow, and more eating. Remember, this isn't the wedding
banquet so there won't be any speeches or odd things happening
here. Just eating.
- What belief do you follow?
Food, especially good food. We worship good food. Foood.
- Do you guys have a gift registry?
No. You will know why if you
have seen our home. It is very small and
completely equipped. We have all kitchen appliances, and the
place
is fully
furnished. We would really appreciate if you don't give
us any items like appliances, dishes, toys, or home decorations.
If you have visited, you will know that we like a very particular
styling. To get an idea, you are welcome to visit our place or
look at the following
list.
It is becoming obvious that we are not
being clear enough. We would rather you not buy anything.
If you want to give anything, money or things like Ikea gift
certificates is always a safe choice.
Likes
(other than eating and money) :
My Sassy Girl -
This is a Korean movie that is available with subtitles on VCD and
DVD. It combines drama, comedy, action, romance, and sci-fi all
into one. We have this VCD and have watched it over 10 times.
Giant
Fried
Egg - this thing
is about half a metre wide. We have similar whimsical,
clean-styled
functional items in our house.
Integra rally racing in snow - makes
any frozen treat better. I'd really like if you can arrange a
clear snow course for a few timed runs.
Pirate bunny - The little
swashbuckler was last seen on a local SPCA adoption website. Poor
dude fought valiantly but lost an ear but not the battle.
Hello Kitty goes berserk - Click on
the picture. What you'll see is a bear freaking out. Why?
Because, his poo is bigger than himself. To top it off, Hello
Kitty, who is nearly as big as he is, is hiding in his poo.
Don't really like:
Fine china - Our huge thick
President's Choice dishes will inevitably drop on and break any wimpy
dishes like these.
Cushions
- Have you seen the cushions at our place? They are very distinct
like that fried egg and unlike this cushion with a poodle sewn into
it. Who really likes this? Not us.
Pottery figurines
- Very, very rarely there are some nice ones
but we don't have any room.
Plates - Not quite the same as fine
china. This one says something about Maggie. Pretty... bad.
Items like these mysteriously
disappear from our place. I've spotted some reappearing at other
homes and in thrift stores.
